Ministry of Crab is a celebration of Sri Lanka’s renowned Regal Mud Crab. Founded in 2011 by chef-restaurateur Dharshan Munidasa and cricket legends Mahela Jayawardena and Kumar Sangakkara, it is located in Colombo’s historic Dutch Hospital. The restaurant has been featured on Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants List and its 51-100 Extended List, with international outposts across Asia, the Maldives, and Australia.

Some of our signature dishes such as Pure Crab need 6 hours of prior notice as it is best served chilled with warm butter and ‘ponzu inspired’ original aged soy sauce, similarly our Crab Liver Pâté is only available in limited quantities daily, so be sure to let us know if you would like to pre-order these items.
